Osisko Metals (OM.V) has released the assay results from its 2022 definition drill program at the flagship Pine Point project, located in Canada’s Northwest Territories. The infill drill program aimed to reduce the spacing between the holes to just 30 meters, which should allow the company to upgrade a substantial portion from the inferred resource category into the indicated resources which would allow those tonnes to be included in a feasibility study.
The initial batch of results met the expectations as the drill bit intersected the shallow zinc and lead sulphides within 100 meters from surface. And more importantly, the encountered mineralization occurred as continuous and flat-lying which should make mining activities easier.
The winter definition drill campaign will start in January while additional hydrogeological test work will be performed as well and this should put the company in a position to pull the trigger on a feasibility study in the second half of next year.
