Rammer has been setting standards for breaking for over four decades but being one of the world’s most trusted brands is not about technology and innovation only, it is about safety and minimising impact on the environment.
We asked Esa Sjönberg, product line lifecycle manager for breakers at the Sandvik factory in Finland what makes Rammer Rockbreakers a safe and more sustainable choice.

“Safety is paramount in all aspects of Rammer rockbreaker lifecycle; design,
manufacturing, operation and maintenance, and having safety as a top priority in design and manufacturing phase will ensure safe rockbreaker operation and maintenance,” said Sjönberg.

“All new product projects start with lifetime safety risk assessments and sustainability plan as well as certifying all our rockbreakers conform to all the relevant provisions of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the Outdoor Equipment Noise Directive 2000/14/EC.

“Rammer rockbreakers are designed to create the least harm possible to environment and responsible sourcing throughout the value chain is a big part of improving sustainability so that Rammer customers can always trust their rockbreaker is sourced from responsibly managed resources and suppliers and when it reaches the end of its useful working life, the steel in every Rammer rockbreaker is 100 per cent recyclable.

“The Rammer brand and its reputation is built on quality and all Rammer products are manufactured utilising state-of-the-art technology that consumes the minimum electricity and recycles cutting fluids and metal chips.

“We are continuously monitoring and improving safety features of our rockbreakers during the manufacturing phase and this includes parts and components from our suppliers as well.”

Rammer rockbreakers have leakproof hydraulic sealing and efficient tool sealing to minimise leakages and prevent dust or particles entry inside rockbreaker and hydraulic circuit.

Robust and silenced housing offers increased noise suppression, optimising these rockbreakers for use in urban areas.

As part of Rammer’s aim to help support more sustainable rockbreaking operations, Rammer has also launched Rammer BIO Tool Grease, a high-performance biodegradable grease for hydraulic rockbreakers.

High quality manufacturing and durable design ensures long lifetime of parts and with high hydraulic efficiency Rammer operators enjoy decreased fuel consumption and increased production, which also helps reduce impact on the environment.

An effective vibration dampening systems in Rammer rockbreakers minimise harmful vibration to the operator as well as to carrier.

To ensure safe operation and maintenance Rammer offers complete operational training manual including videos for operators to work with and maintain their rockbreaker safely.
