32m at 1.4% Li2O: Has Battery Age has caught the tail of spodumene giant at Falcon Lake?

- Significant assay results returned from drilling program at Falcon Lake
- Results continue to demonstrate thick, shallow and high grade pegmatite-hosted spodumene mineralisation
- Additional drilling is now being planned across the 5km target area
Battery Age’s latest batch of drill assays from its flagship Falcon Lake include several thick 1-2% lithium intercepts from shallow depths, confirming that this standout project is one to watch.
Falcon Lake is just 10km from Australian Green Technology Metals’ (ASX:GT1) Seymour Lake lithium project, which has a resource of 9.9Mt grading 1.04% Li2O, and not far from Critical Resources (ASX:CRR) 8Mt and growing resource over at the Mavis Lake project.
It’s incredibly prospective, with Battery Age Minerals (ASX:BM8) mid-year maiden drilling campaign confirming and building upon historical hits like 24.4 metres at 1.43% Li2O including 10.9 metres at 1.95% Li2O.
These results have kept coming. In fact, all holes for which laboratory assays have been returned contain significant lithium.
Standout hits from the latest batch of assays include:
- 31.75m @ 1.45% Li2O from 14.46m (including 14m @ 1.70% Li2O);
- 14.7m @ 1.50% Li2O from 3.7m (including 10m @ 1.81% Li2O);
- 13.35m @ 1.50% Li2O from 5.4m (including 5m @ 1.83% Li2O);
- 11.45m @ 1.33% Li2O from 22.05m (including 4m @ 1.93% Li2O); and
- 8.65m @ 2.04% Li2O from 3.6m.
To date, 57 holes for 6462m have been drilled with assays received for 38 holes.
A further 19 holes are currently awaiting assay. It is expected that assays for subsequent holes will be available within 6-8 weeks.
“We are very pleased with the follow-up assay results from our second batch of diamond holes at Falcon Lake,” BM8 managing director Gerard O’Donovan says.
“These results continue to confirm that we have significant mineralisation across many holes and in multiple locations across the property.”

Summer fieldwork program continues across 5km corridor
Drilling to date has been mainly focussed in and around the historical lithium occurrences Falcon West, Discovery and East.
O’Donovan says the company is excited about the new high-priority targets that have been generated for the drill rig as part of the summer fieldwork program which is ongoing at site.
“This fieldwork has given us a fantastic platform to continue drilling during the winter months across the 5km of mineralised corridor, building further on these recent discoveries,” he says.
“This will enable us to continue defining the scale of mineralisation at Falcon Main.”
Hot on the heels of a successful $6.4mn capital raising and outstanding results generated by the ongoing summer fieldwork prospecting campaign, BM8 will continue drilling through the winter months to test the pipeline of targets identified across the 5km of mineralisation.
What’s next?
Further field exploration work is ongoing including geochemical sampling and ground magnetic surveys.
Following the completion and collation of this data set, the explorer will be able to further refine priority targets and will update the market accordingly as the drilling strategy is developed.
BM8 will continue to keep the market updated as further assay results become available.
