Siemens eMobility’s new electric vehicle charger, VersiCharge Blue, is currently in full production at the company’s Carrollton, Texas, manufacturing facility and is now going into commercial deployment. The Level 2 AC charger is designed for all AC EV charger applications including offices, hospitals, airports, school campuses, parking garages and lots, as well as light- to medium-duty fleets and is fully Buy American compliant to meet federal EV infrastructure funding requirements.

The Buy-American-compliant VersiCharge Blue charger is the next variation of Siemens level 2 AC EV charger with new features and functions, new easy to use mobile app for simple setup and charger management and is EnergyStar Certified with up to 48A / 11.5kW of power (60A breaker required).

Compatible with all major EVs, VersiCharge Blue comes with a J1772 connector, 25-foot cable and five-year warranty and can be purchased under government contracts such as GSA, GSA-BPA, and Sourcewell, or through channel and reseller partners across the United States, including Kirby Risk, MyEV Charger, MyEV Match, City Electric, Sonepar and more.

In addition to the production of VersiCharge Blue, Siemens eMobility will soon open a clean room in its Carrollton facility in Fall 2023. Designed to manufacture the high-tech electronic assemblies associated with EV solutions, this clean room represents a direct example of Siemens’ commitment to domestic manufacturing.

Siemens continues to invest in and expand its US manufacturing footprint to support growing demand for EV infrastructure. While bringing the Carrollton facility fully functional in just a few months, Siemens eMobility is exceeding its workforce commitment.

In Wendell, North Carolina, the growing eMobility team manufactures the company’s DC charger for eBus and eTruck depot charging, SICHARGE UC, and has developed an apprenticeship, internship and training program to prepare the EV workforce.

At its nearly 600-person R&D hub in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, engineers and researchers are working towards the future of electrified transportation through continuous testing and exploration of EV technology.
