Aztec Minerals (AZT.V) has appointed Simon Dyakowski as its new CEO earlier this month,
while Joey Wilkins will become Chief Geologist and VP Exploration for Aztec as
this will allow him to focus on the technical aspects of the company while
leaving navigating the financial markets do Dyakowski.

We can probably expect to see some drill results from Aztec in September as the company has started an initial drill program on the Tombstone property in Arizona, where the company is earning a 75% interest. This initial drill program will consist of 20 relatively shallow RC holes for a total of 2,900 meters drilled (indicating an average depth per hole of just below 150 meters). Aztec is targeting a shallow zone of gold-silver oxide mineralization around and below the Contention pit. As the Tombstone project has a total historical production of 32 million ounces of silver, Aztec Minerals is looking in the right spot to try to add more precious metals to its inventory.
