Aztec Minerals (TSXV: AZT) continues to see positive results from its phase three drill program conducted at its Cervantes project in Sonora, Mexico. The firm has released assay results for an additional three holes, again expanding the known footprint of mineralization for the California zone.
Two of the holes released this morning were conducted at the California Zone, while the third was conducted at the Jasper Copper target. Highlights from the results include:
- CAL22-030: 0.315 g/t gold over 7.5 metres, and 0.544 g/t gold over 6.0 metres
- CAL22-031: 0.873 g/t gold over 28.5 metres, and 0.581 g/t gold over 85.5 metres

The results from CAL22-030 are said to have extended the footprint of the California zone to 140 metres of depth, and by 110 metres to the North. CAL22-031 meanwhile is said to have confirmed the footwall of the main California Zone’s mineralization at depth, filling a knowledge gap that existed within the drilling pattern.
The hole at Jasper meanwhile, JAS22-002, was a 600 metre step out west of the California Zone and is said to have intercepted broad alteration and oxide copper mineralization. Full assays remain pending for the hole.
