Visible gold has reportedly been intersected by Emergent Metals (TSXV: EMR) as they get underway with their previously announced drill program at the Trecesson Property in Quebec.

The visible gold has reportedly been encountered in two holes completed to date at the Cossette South target, with the company reporting a total of six holes have been completed under the current program. To date, a total of 669.0 metres have been drilled. Visible gold is said to have been intersected at a depth of 59.72 metres in hole TR-23-03, and at a depth of 70.87 metres in hole TR-23-04.

The current program at Trecesson is slated to amount to 4,000 metres of drilling in aggregate. Drilling is set to target the Cossette North and South Veins, as it works to extend the depth and strike length of known mineralization.

Historical drilling on the property was conducted in 2011, consisting of 121 holes drilled across 3,473 metres, and in 2017, which consisted of 33 holes drilled across 3,220 metres. Both programs were conducted by Knick Exploration. The average depth on those holes amounted to 43.5 metres, which represents shallow drilling.

“Knick noted the presence of visible gold in selected core samples during their historical drill programs and we are also seeing visible gold in our initial drilling. We look forward to continuing the drill program and receiving assays. Once they are available, we will provide additional details on the drilling at that time,” commented David Watkinson, CEO of Emergent.
